Through advocacy and direct contributions of over $350K, we have supported many projects since our inception, including:

• Community Center Improvements ($65K). Funded exercise equipment for the Fitness Center Renovation, audio-visual equipment in the Cascade Room, landscaping improvements outside the Cascade Room and laptops for the Digilab. Have also successfully advocated for increased maintenance and staff to ensure that the Community Center remains a first-class experience.

• Sports Field Renovation ($150K). Our sports fields require renovation every few years to remain in great condition. MV Friends has purchased equipment to enable faster field renovations, contributed $100K towards the recent renovations of Bayfront and Friends Fields and $35K for the Alto baseball field.

• Scholarship Matching Program ($65K). Our initial two-year program provided $30K per year to match scholarships granted by the City for people to use Parks and Recreation facilities. We matched 185 scholarships to residents of Mill Valley and the surrounding communities. We also pledged $5K in scholarships for Mill Valley Recreation’s Essential Worker Camps.

• Golf Course Improvements ($20K). We have funded several projects to improve the experience at the Mill Valley Golf Course such as green renovation and signage.

• Community Garden ($15K). Provided funding and labor for the new community garden next the Public Safety building.

• Skate Park Renovation ($40K). Raised funding to improve safety and provide more modern facilities at the skate park behind Mill Valley Middle School.

• Gravity Car ($5K). Contributed funding to support renovating the Depot Square Gravity Car.

• Eagle Scout Projects ($2K). Contributed to install benches at the Boyle Park tennis courts, and an agility course at the dog park.
